In order to understand the actual feelings of the consumer and provide reference and guidance for green actions in the express industry, Beishang Research Institute conducted a survey of users' green logistics service experience in 2021, covering dimensions such as packaging classification, terminal recycling, and smart device experience. The survey shows that more than half of users are satisfied with express delivery services, with express delivery companies SF Express, JD Logistics and Yunda ranked in the top three. At the end of the process of reducing packaging and guidance, consumers have not yet formed a clear perception. Outer packaging such as plastic tape, cartons, etc., as well as bubble film and other fillers still account for a large proportion. In addition, protecting the security of personal information has become the focus of attention of users.
According to estimates by the State Post Bureau, the national express delivery business volume will exceed 95 billion pieces in 2021. Based on the "Opinions on Accelerating the Green Transformation of Express Packaging" issued by the National Development and Reform Commission and other eight departments, by 2025, e-commerce express mail will basically no longer be repackaged, and the application scale of recyclable express packaging will reach 10 million. This goal was also written into the "Fourteenth Five-Year Plan of Action for Plastic Pollution Control" issued by the National Development and Reform Commission and the Ministry of Ecology and Environment in September.
